Has Ellie Goulding Found ‘The One?’ She Sure Thinks So
There have been a lot of rumors going around about Ellie Goulding’s love life lately. According to said rumors, Ellie cheated on pop singer Ed Sheeran, whom she was supposedly seeing when she also began dating One Direction’s Niall Horan (those rumors were shot down by Ellie, who mentioned she’d never dated Ed Sheeran). However, there might be one rumor that’s more than just hearsay — it’s possible Ellie Goulding has found her soulmate. The Franchise Herald suggested that Ellie might be on the verge of a wedding to Dougie Poynter, whom she has been seeing since February.
“He is definitely the one forever….When I was a teenager, I fancied him but I thought he was so out of my league. Way too good-looking for me.”
Well, he’s clearly not out of Ellie’s league anymore! We’ve heard celebs say they found their soulmate before only to backtrack on that notion, but Ellie seems pretty serious, and so does her boyfriend. Now that we’re all pretty much over the rumors of Ellie consorting with the likes of Ed Sheeran, hopefully she will find happiness with Dougie Poynter. The London Evening Standard seems to think it might happen. An anonymous source told them it could be Ellie and Doug’s time soon.
Dougie’s seen all of his friends get married and he’d surely love to do the same, for both of them it seems they’ve found “the one.”
Dougie seems as serious as Ellie about getting married, but there aren’t any wedding bells ringing just yet. When you see the couple together in pictures, you’ll probably realize how comfortable they look with one another — it’s one of those things where you can just tell Ellie and her boyfriend “just go together.” For one thing, they have their love of music in common. Dougie is the bassist for the English Pop/Rock band McFly, while Ellie is a pop sensation in the U.S., whose songs have appeared on the soundtrack to Fifty Shades of Grey.
Late last month, Ellie Instagrammed a picture of her and Dougie looking together, to the tune of thousands of likes and reposts. This doesn’t exactly hint that they’re getting married (or even in a relationship for that matter), but we already know they’re thinking about marriage (Calvin Harris even offered to DJ at the pair’s wedding, one source reported, but Ellie made it clear she hasn’t planned a wedding yet).
