‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Casting Rumors: Is Kathy Hilton Really Replacing Kim Richards?

Nicky Hilton has set the rumors straight concerning her mother’s alleged appearance in the new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, E! News reports. News recently surfaced that Kathy Hilton would be replacing Kim Richards in the new season of the reality show.

“Absolutely not. I’ve heard that rumor, it pops up once or twice every year since Kim [Richards] and Kyle [Richards] started the show and no… untrue,” Hilton explained during an interview on Good Day New York.

The rumors are the result of Kim’s recent struggle with her alcohol addiction and subsequent stay in rehab, which fueled the idea that she would not be participating in the show any longer. While Nicky has thoroughly denied the rumors that her mother is joining the show, an insider told Extra TV that the producers of the series have long recruited her.

“RHOBH execs initially wanted Kathy for the show years ago,” the insider revealed. “But she passed, and she ended up recommending her sisters, who were clamoring to do it.”

Meanwhile, according to Reality Tea, Kim is also dealing with financial troubles and was forced to move out of her rental property in the Valley. The move came just as Kim was getting ready to enter rehab, where she will be at for at least 30 to 60 days.

While Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to start its sixth season, Kim’s personal troubles have affected her job on the reality show.

Radar Online reports that Bravo execs have wanted Kim Richards off the show for some time, and her sister Kyle is also on the chopping block.

Fans assumed that executives at Bravo would not look kindly on Kim blaming the reality show for her drinking problems when she had her sit down with Dr. Phil.

Co-star Lisa Vanderpump agreed when she spoke to Radar about Kim’s demotion on the hit show. “A reality show should document your reality. It shouldn’t be the reason you drink and the show should not be what keeps you sober.”

She also suggested that Kim may have had difficulty filming a reality show because she was not being real. Instead, she was trying to hide a major addiction.

“If you are going to sign up for a reality show, be completely honest. If not it is going to come back and bite you in the ass! Most importantly is that Kim gets the help she needs,” she concluded.”I wish her well. That is all I want for her and all that the cast wants as well.”

As for her sister Kyle, there are also rumors that she may also be leaving the series. She did just announce that she was going to work on a TV Land comedy based on her life. But no announcements have been made about Kyle’s fate on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at this time.
