Morgan Nick Disappearance: New Billboard Campaign Shows Age-Progressed Image 20 Years After She Went Missing

A fresh campaign has been launched to locate Morgan Nick, 20 years after the six-year-old went missing from Alma, Arkansas.

On Friday a new billboard campaign that included an image of what Morgan Nick would look like now was launched. Colleen Nick stood alongside Governor Asa Hutchinson and spoke at the event, thanking the countless law enforcement officials who have helped to try and locate Morgan over the past two decades.

Colleen remarked, via TH11, “It’s pretty amazing because from the very first day that Morgan was missing the state of Arkansas really stood up and has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us in this fight and has not wavered.”

On June 9, 1995, Morgan Nick attended a Little League baseball game in Alma alongside her mother, Colleen Nick. At approximately 10:30 p.m. she asked her mother if she could go and catch lightning bugs with her friends.

After briefly considering whether she should let her six-year-old daughter go, Colleen allowed Morgan to depart. At around 10:45 p.m., Morgan was last seen by her friends emptying sand out of her shoes at her mother’s car. At this point Morgan’s chums stated that there was a “creepy” man talking to her.

After the game finished, Morgan’s friends returned without her. They told Colleen that she was at her car; however, when she went to her automobile, she wasn’t there. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Speaking at the billboard unveiling, Colleen Nick recalled her last moments with Morgan. “When she climbed down from the bleachers she threw her arms around my neck and gave me a big hug and she kissed me on the cheek,” Colleen remarked.

“In an instant, terror invaded our lives and 20 years later we are still living with that terror.” The billboard with the age-progressed picture of Morgan is due to be erected across the state of Arkansas, including in Northwest Arkansas, Fort Smith, Clarksville, and Little Rock.

Colleen Nick subsequently started the Morgan Nick Foundation to help parents cope with the disappearance of their children. The foundation also looks to stop and help prevent children from going missing too.

Meanwhile, Colleen still hasn’t given up hope that Morgan Nick will one day return. “As far as I’m concerned, until someone can prove that Morgan is not coming home, I am going to stand resolute and fight for her,” she declared, before then urging anyone with any information to come forward. “There’s one person that has the power to reunite our family and we pray that they find the courage to make that call that would bring Morgan home.”
