Jamie WaylettJamie Waylett, the actor who has played Vincent Crabbe in all of the Harry Potter films, has been arrested on charges of cannabis possession. Waylett is 19 years old.

Jamie Waylett Arrested

Jamie Waylett was taken into custody by police in London last week, a spokesperson tells the BBC. Officers stopped Waylett’s vehicle and say they discovered eight bags of cannabis during a search. A subsequent raid at Waylett’s home is said to have turned up 10 plants also believed to contain the substance.

Waylett is now free on bail. He is scheduled to appear in court in July, once labs have finished tests on the substances.

Vincent Crabbe Actor

Jamie Waylett’s character in the Harry Potter films, Vincent Crabbe, is best known as one of the two main sidekicks to Potter rival Draco Malfoy. Waylett has acted as Vincent Crabbe in all five of the movies that have been released thus far and revived his part for the upcoming sixth episode, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince — also, incidentally, scheduled for this coming July.

Warner Brothers has not commented on Waylett’s arrest.

    That is so lame! Poor kid. Who cares if the kid likes to toke up now and then. Another reason “that plant” should be legalized. He's not hurting anyone.

    I do think that someone who is high-profile and an actor for a kid-centered movie should be a little more careful, though, given the current laws.

    I'm glad he's out on bail. I hope he gets through this OK.

    he should be arrested. who would do something like that. how old is that kid anyway. If he is over twenty one i would let him be the one that is on his on. But wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah sure it is a plant but it is NOT legal here so Vincent should take his butt to jail!!! Harry Potter is a great move though:)

    I t hink that he should go to jail, but be on probation when they need him for a harry Potter moive and the Harry Potter movies really rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    so wat? its really not nessicary all of this. I agree he should now be taken off of harry potter because hes not a major character so it doesnt matter but why jail?!?!?!!??!!?!?!?
