Miranda Lambert Offers Her Advice On ‘The Voice’

Miranda Lambert, a rising star in country music, offered contestants her advice on “The Voice.” Miranda appeared as a guest on the show where her new husband Blake Shelton judges.

She admitted that she was cautious about what the would tell contestants. Lambert, 28, explained that:

“I remember that I soaked up any advice someone gave me, and especially someone who was more successful…I’m careful of what I’m going to say to these people, because I know it’s going to stick with them. I can really put myself in their position — I can really remember how nervous and scared and wide-eyed I felt.”

The singer first gained fame on the 2003 season of Nashville Star, and is now heading into Sunday’s ACM awards with two nominations. One nomination is for female vocalist, and the other for her album “Four the Record.”

Despite her amazing voice, and her spunky attitude, Miranda Lambert also admits that she has a hard time taking compliments about ehr talent. After winning her first Grammy in 2010 though, she said that, “Winning that award sure helps — it breaks you of that feeling like I don’t know what I’m doing or I don’t deserve to be here.”

Lambert also began a side project with two other female vocalists, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Their first album, “Hell on Heels” debut at number 1 on the country music charts in 2011. She commented about the group that:

“My thought was never that this would be a side project — we always planned to bring full force to it and do it right…we definitely used what I had built at the beginning, but we don’t need it anymore. The Pistol Annies now stand on our own.”

With both her trio and solo projects well underway, we can expect to see much more of Miranda Lambert, and hear more of her amazing voice as she continues through her country music career.
