‘Cruel Intentions’ Reunion: Sarah Michelle Gellar And Selma Blair Reenact Kiss

Cruel Intentions stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Selma Blair and Reese Witherspoon had a pretty awesome reunion. The cult film came out in 1999, and it seems like the three ladies are still great friends fifteen years after the fact.

The three got together for a special occasion in Los Angeles. The trio attended a showing of Cruel Intentions the Musical. They must have been inspired by the show because Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar reenacted their kiss that they did for the film. In the scene, Kathryn is trying to teach naive Cecile how to french kiss. The scene was very salacious and got a lot of attention at the time.

The Cruel Intentions beauties started to post photos of their reunion, and when they realized fans were getting excited, they decided to up the ante by posting a reenactment of the kiss. Here’s a few pictures of the Cruel Intentions reunion.

cruel intentions reunion Selma wrote as a caption, “#cruelintentionsthemusical @reesewitherspoon @sarahmgellar together again.”

The trio had so much fun that they performed a lip sync to the hit 90s song “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia. The picture that everyone is talking about happened when the Cruel Intentions cast hit backstage to congratulate the theater players. In a photo that has now floated all over the Internet, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair reenacted their Cruel Intentions kiss.

Actor Brad Everett Young captioned the image, “@SarahMGellar & @TheRealSelmaBlair rekindled that #CruleIntentions Big Screen Magic tonight w/ @ReeseWitherspoon when they attended the Sold Out performance of @CruelIntentionsMusical at the @LA_Rockwell! Such an amazing fun night w/ these phenomenal ladies!”

Sarah Michelle Gellar then tweeted out the photo to the delight of her fans.

The one significant cast member that was missing was Sebastian Valmont himself, Ryan Phillippe. That said, Phillippe still had kind words to say about the film that catapulted him into heartthrob status. In 2014, Phillippe said a trip to Central Park struck a chord with him.

“We were reminiscing then because we shot a lot of Cruel Intentions there, so there we were with Ava and Deacon talking, and they were tripping out on the fact that we were there shooting a movie before they were even a thought in our minds.”
