Karrueche Tran Addresses Those Pesky Chris Brown Dating Rumors
Believe it or not, Karrueche Tran is not interested in seeing Chris Brown, despite what the rumors have to say. The model revealed that she tries to avoid meeting up with her ex in person. Karrueche stopped by Big Boy’s Morning Show to discuss her current relationship status with the R&B singer.
Tran and Brown are over. Fans shouldn’t expect them to get back together anytime soon. Tran confirmed her breakup with Brown on the radio show on Wednesday morning.
“I am 100 percent single. There are a few dudes trying to make their pass. I’m really just trying to focus on me.”
Tran tries her hardest to avoid Brown on social media and on the radio. She does admit that it can be hard.
“I make it so we don’t have to cross paths so it’s not awkward. But I do get on Instagram and there’s people tagging us, or I’ll hear a song or something. I kinda just have to block it out.”
It sounds like it’s harder for Chris to avoid Karrueche on social media. He recently lashed out at Tyson Beckford after the male model shared a photo of himself with Karrueche on Instagram.
Tran also explained why she decided to bring things off with Brown after the baby news. Like the rest of his fans, she found out about the scandal through TMZ.
“Yeah. When it hit TMZ, I was like ‘Oh, okay. Ugh.’ I called him. I cussed him out, and I was like [I’m done]. After the whole Rihanna thing, we’ve been trying to fix what was broken. And that was just the icing on the cake. So I just had to completely pull away.”
Does that mean that Karrueche and Rihanna have bad blood? As previously reported via the Inquisitr, the model has nothing but respect for the performer. Karrueche insists there’s no competition between her and RiRi.
“We just dated the same guy and that’s kinda what it is. It’s always like a competition thing and they compare us, but she is Rihanna. She’s a pop star, she’s beautiful. She makes great music, and I’m just me and I’m growing and working into myself. So you can’t really compare us. It’s completely different, we’re completely different girls.”
What else is there to know about Karrueche Tran? During her interview, she revealed that she can cross her eyes and fit a quarter inside her belly button, although not at the same time. Acting is also Tran’s main focus right now. Just yesterday, she shared photo of her bloody lip on Instagram. Apparently, her injury was a fake one for an upcoming role.
Karrueche currently stars a web series called The Bay. She will also star in the TV movie 3 Headed Shark Attack, the sequel to 2 Headed Shark Attack, which airs on Syfy later this summer.
“[Acting] is the goal right now. I used to be, like, pretty shy and reserved. Kind of like I still am now, but, I don’t know, I love it.”
