Taylor Armstrong Discusses Kim Richards’ Struggles With Dr. Drew

Taylor Armstrong appeared on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s HLN talk show on May 27, where she discussed her former co-star Kim Richards’ ongoing struggles with sobriety.

Following a slew of rumors regarding a possible relapse during Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel in what was reported as quite the dramatic scene. Then, just days after leaving rehab to attend her daughter’s wedding, a second relapse was reported.

Now, Taylor Armstrong is speaking out, attempting to shed light on the issue.

“Kim struggled in season one, for sure. We all went through so much together, divorces, and Kim going through rehab, but by season three, she was doing beautifully, and I really had all the faith in the world that it was going to work for her. Her support system with Kyle, Kathy and the kids is really unbelievable. I just know she can pull through this. It’s heartbreaking to see that this happened at her daughter’s wedding.”

Richards entered treatment at the end of last month following years of addiction struggles, but she left at the end of last week to attend Brooke Brinson’s wedding in Mexico. Within days, her alleged second relapse had been reported, and while she was expected to return to rehab by Monday, she is reportedly missing in Mexico.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, this isn’t the first time Taylor Armstrong has commented on the ongoing drama surrounding Richards. Just weeks ago, during an interview with TooFab, Taylor Armstrong said the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was hard for her to watch because of the distance put between Kim and her sister, Kyle.

“It hurts my heart to watch a lot of it because I really care for so many of the girls. Watching them have issues is tough — especially watching Kyle and Kim struggle — because Kyle is so important to me. I just want to see them happy — that was really hard for me to watch.”

Although Taylor Armstrong hasn’t appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as an official housewife for a number of years, she’s stayed in touch with a number of her co-stars and remains close friends with Kyle.

Taylor Armstrong’s statement to Dr. Drew marks the first time one of the housewives has confirmed the news of Richards’ alleged relapse in Mexico at Brinson’s wedding.
