Mama June Shannon Suing Mad, Says Josh Duggar Did A ‘Lot More Horrendous Stuff’ Than She Did

Mama June Shannon is mad. She wants to know why the Duggars’ 19 Kids and Counting hasn’t been pulled yet. Mama June’s show, Honey Boo Boo, was cancelled right away when a rumor started about Shannon dating convicted child molester Mark Anthony McDaniel, Sr.

When reports reached the show’s producers, claiming that the McDaniel, Sr. had abused Shannon’s daughter Anna Cardwell, Mama June was out on the spot. Honey Boo Boo didn’t have a chance.

Shannon says she didn’t even date the guy.

“I didn’t even do anything. It was just speculation over, like, rumors. I never dated the guy, I never touched my kid — I think that’s disgusting. And our show was canceled immediately…It wasn’t no break with us. It was like, seven hours after the news broke, canceled!”

Mama June Shannon is threatening to sue TLC now. She isn’t happy about the situation. Shannon believes that it’s completely unfair for the Duggars to be allowed to carry on with their show after the news broke about Josh Duggar’s child molestation scandal.

“And he did a whole lot more horrendous stuff than I would’ve ever thought about with my children. That’s just crazy.”

Mama June agreed with a Twitter user who pointed out that Honey Boo Boo was cancelled because of the rumors that June was “associating with a child molester;” but 19 Kids and Counting gets to stay in production even though it has an actual child molester as part of the show.

Shannon says it’s a double standard, and she may be right. Mama June’s attorney believes that “they can easily score a $1 million jury verdict.” The case would center on the reality that Josh Duggar did far worse things than Mama June, but has had to face far fewer consequences for his actions. The attorney is giving it a week, and if he doesn’t hear back by then, the lawsuit will be filed.

Mama June could use that million dollars. The Shannon household lost their income when Honey Boo Boo was cancelled, and June thinks TLC should get their priorities straight.

“If you’re gonna take away one family’s income ’cause of speculation and rumors…and you’re gonna blackball me and take away from my children’s future, but you’re not gonna take away from their family? Come on, now, get your priorities straight.”

Shannon doesn’t think the Duggar family is all bad. The two families shared bodyguards for awhile, and heard “some great things” about each other. June just doesn’t think the Duggars deserve to stay on the air.
