Kangaroo Called ‘Big Buck’ Flexes His Pecs In Australian ‘Burbs, Scaring The Locals

The bush has infiltrated the burbs in Australia, where a beefy kangaroo with big pecs is showing a Brisbane neighborhood just who’s the boss in town.

Believe it or not, “Big Buck” stands an intimidating six-and-a-half feet tall and weighs 209 pounds.

Of course, impressive pecs aren’t always a bad thing, but not on a wild animal. And certainly not on one you unexpectedly run into while out walking the dog.

That’s what happened to Linda Hellyer, she told Seven News.

“We turned the corner and old mate jumped out he’s very big and I don’t want to take him on. He’s got massive, massive muscles, big pecs and everything and he stood up because he was obviously a bit frightened of the dogs. We didn’t intend to get that close because we obviously know kangaroos can be a bit dangerous.”

Apparently in this Brisbane neighborhood, called North Lakes, the kangaroo is about as common as deer. But residents usually spot the smaller variety, not ones with rippling pecs, biceps, and strong weight-lifter’s legs, the Daily Mirror added

So understandably, locals are a little afraid as he stalks North Lakes, munching on grass at the golf club, hopping around the playground, taking a stroll on footpaths. They know it’s him, because this guy has a tear on his left ear.

(And this can also happen, which is rather terrifying)

But for all the panic he’s inspiring, he seems rather a softie, with a cute furry face and a harmless demeanor. Like deer here in the U.S., the kangaroo is just going about its daily business as the wilderness around it is encroached upon by humans.

And despite their fear, people are concerned about kangaroos like this muscular fella – some of his buddies have gotten trapped behind construction site fences as the suburbs expand.

Though according to Seven News, people don’t really mind the occasional roo wandering down the street – that’s part of the city’s uniqueness.
