Nina Dobrev Regrets Quitting ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ Can’t Find Work In Movies?
Nina Dobrev shocked fans when she announced that she was quitting The Vampire Diaries after Season 6. However, could she already be regretting her decision to move on to bigger and better things? Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that Dobrev, who played the beloved character of Elena Gilbert, and her many doppelgangers on the hit CW teen drama, may be having some trouble finding work after her years on television.
Nina Dobrev has seemingly been spending her free time hanging out and having fun with her many famous friends, and has been documenting her time via her social networking pages like WhoSay and Instagram. Could Nina just be catching up on some rest, relaxation, and down time before hitting the pavement to find some bigger movie roles?
It could be that Nina’s just taking some time off before jumping back into work, or she could be having problems landing bigger roles. Previously, she’s had supporting roles in films like Perks of Being a Wallflower and Lets Be Cops, but she’s yet to land a starring role in a big movie so far in her career.
If there is one thing that Dobrev showed during her time on The Vampire Diaries, it’s that she can act and show various emotions, whether that’s drama, sadness, happiness, love, or even comedy. Not to mention that Nina is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood today. It seems she should have no trouble finding movie roles, but could her past as a TV star be holding her back?
Hollywood Life reports that there is a 90s movie remake that could be perfect for Nina Dobrev if she were to audition. It’s been confirmed that The Craft will be remade, and Nina knows a little something about acting in a supernatural role. She could make a nice addition to the cast, and even play one of the witches in the coven that the storyline centers around. It would be a good transition for Nina to play a role she knows in her first high profile movie role, so this could be the big break she’s been hoping for.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, it’s rumored that Nina quit The Vampire Diaries because she didn’t want to work with her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, any longer. Somerhalder has moved on with Nikki Reed, and the two recently got married in an intimate outdoor ceremony.
