Gerard Butler’s Ex-Girlfriend’s Rape Charges Fall Apart — Pregnant With Another Man’s Baby
Earlier this year, Gerard Butler’s model ex-girlfriend made a shocking claim in court that she was impregnated when she was raped by a photographer. She also pressed for an abortion.
However, recent DNA test results have proven that the alleged suspect is not the father of her child and the court is now dropping the rape charges. The case is now officially closed and the documents are already sealed.
The DNA test was requested by the photographer’s attorney, Tom Kenniff, when Latvian-born model Alesia Riabenkova came out with her pregnancy in court last January. Biological material was obtained by the court’s clinic and underwent subsequent testing.
The results supported Kenniff’s defense that his client indeed “fooled around” with the model but didn’t have sex with her. With this development, the lawyer is now asserting justice for his client.
“She tried to destroy my client’s life, and she should be punished for it,” Kenniff said.
The model, who appeared on the covers of big fashion magazines such as Glamour and Elle, met the photographer in Long Island last October. They discussed her budding career over champagne. A potential photo shoot was then considered and they closed their meeting by heading over to the photographer’s condo which was located nearby.
About 45 minutes later, Riabenkova asked a doorman for help claiming that she had been raped by the photographer. She also told the doorman to call 911.
Responding to the model’s call, police came to the photographer’s condominium unit and arrested him. He spent a night behind bars but prosecutors eventually downgraded his charges to sexual misconduct. This is because the authorities have found holes in the model’s story and her rape kit tested inconclusive.
Video surveillance also showed the model standing in the lobby of the building after she was allegedly raped. Riabenkova did not show any signs of distress. Instead, she acted as if nothing happened to her. Despite this evidence, the model will not be facing false-report charges.
Riabenkova dated Butler between 2012 and 2013. Currently, the British actor is now dating model-turned-fashion designer Morgan Brown.

The couple have been steadily dating since last summer and in March, Morgan was spotted wearing a huge diamond on her left ring finger. Until now, there has been no official confirmation of an engagement.
While speculations are brewing, Butler has his hands full with his new crime thriller London Has Fallen, which is a sequel to his previous film Olympus Has Fallen.
