Woman Leaves $200,000 Estate To Her Beloved Dog

A three-year-old adorable Maltese named Bella Mia is certainly loved by her human owner. The dog has an extensive wardrobe and jewelry. Rose Ann Bolasny, 60, of Queens, New York, is leaving a large portion of her estate to her canine child, and she stated the following, according to the National Dog News Examiner.

“I feel like I gave birth to Bella Mia, she’s absolutely like a child to me.”

Dog owners can relate to loving their dogs and wanting to ensure that they are taken care of in a manner to which they are accustomed. So Bolasny wanted to ensure that Bella Mia is set for life should anything happen to her and her husband. The estate left in her will to the dog is worth approximately $200,000, which includes a trust fund for an appointed caregiver, as well as a vacation home in Florida.

Bolasny has two human sons, too. How do they feel about a dog receiving such a large portion of their parents’ estate? Apparently, there are no hard feelings, and Bolasny indicated that “[t]hey adore her. They absolutely adore her,” according to Inside Edition. She also stated the following.

“She is the best dressed pet in the world. I wanted to make sure, God forbid something happened to my husband or I, that Bella Mia was taken care of… I’m sure everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don’t really look at the negative, I look at the positive of it [making sure that Bella Mia is taken care of by providers.]”

Bella Mia is apparently very well-loved and taken care of by Bolasny, and accompanies her human caretakers many places, often displaying one of her precious outfits.
