Mama June Reportedly Threatens To Sue TLC For $1 Million If ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Is Not Returned To The Air

Mama June is reportedly threatening to sue TLC for $1 million if the network doesn’t resume airing episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

According to TMZ, Mama June Shannon is fed up with the network for pulling the reality show last October after a scandal broke out over her alleged scandalous love life.

TMZ is reporting that Mama June’s lawyer told the website that he notified the network of his intentions on Friday. He is claiming the family’s rights were violated when TLC yanked the show hours after TMZ posted a pic of June with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel.

The threat comes in the wake of the the network pulling 19 Kids and Counting after Josh Duggar admitted to molesting several minors, including several of his sisters, when he was a minor.

Mama June’s lawyer says Josh Duggar’s conduct was far worse, with fewer consequences.

According to TMZ, the attorney told the network that “the family is willing to work for the same terms as before and they are all on board.”

If not, the attorney apparently believes he’ll score big time for the family in court if it came to that.

“He’d be happy to resolve the matter in court… where he believes he can score a $1 million jury verdict.”

The attorney is reportedly giving the network the coming week to make its decision before filing the lawsuit.

According to the Daily Mail, Mama June says there’s no way TLC can justify keeping the Duggar family on the air after they axed her show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo last year after a picture emerged of June with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel.

This week, TMZ pulled episodes of 19 Kids and Counting after the Josh Duggar’s scandal grew into an internet frenzy.

“Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time.”

The family of Josh Duggar confirmed on Thursday that he had molested young girls when he was a teen, that they knew about it, and that his wife was told about it before they married.

In the aftermath of the revelation of his childhood misconduct, Josh Duggar resigned from his position at the Family Research Council and TLC pulled the show.

Meanwhile, Mama June is having none of it, according to Page Six.

“I read that the Duggar family said, this happening with their son brought them closer to God and each other. So they’re saying it’s OK to have family touch time? Hell no.”
