Rob Kardashian ‘Considering’ Rehab, Is The Troubled ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Star Finally Ready For Help?

Following the murder of a close friend, Rob Kardashian might be ready to accept the help he needs to battle his depression and substance abuse. Rob’s close friend, Chinx Drugz, was recently murdered and his death has caused Rob to consider going into rehab.

“It was a huge wake up call to both him and Khloe,” an inside source explained to Radar Online concerning Chinx’ death. Rob was introduced to Chinx through French Montana, who is a past boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian. Since then, the two have become fairly close friends.

Chinx, whose real name is Lionel Pickens, died as the result of a drive by shooting on May 17. Rob posted a heartfelt message on Instagram following the death of his close friend.

“Gone way too soon…rest in peace CHINX…another brother gone…this is terrible,” he wrote.

Chinx’s death comes after what has been a rough year for Rob Kardashian. Rob, who has been battling depression and reportedly gained 100 pounds over the past two years, started to keep to himself more and more despite being the sibling of two celebrities in Khloe and Kim Kardashian. Further, People reported just a few months ago that Rob was very much against seeking help through rehab.

“He is very against therapy and any kind of rehab,” an inside source told People. “But his family will continue to push for him to get help until he does.”

The insider added that Rob’s reclusive nature on Keeping Up with the Kardashians didn’t help his perception in the public eye. “It’s really hard for him that his sisters are so public and he looks like a shut-in.”

Although Rob may not have been too eager on getting help for his problems, the death of his friend might be the one thing that pushes him closer to a recovery.

“Thankfully, this is something that Rob is considering now, which is huge. He doesn’t want to die like Chinx did and we are all hoping that this will be the catalyst to force him into treatment,” an inside source told Radar Online.

“Everyone in his family has been begging him to go and get help for quite some time. They also realize that they have neglected Rob and it is something they are all really trying to change,” the source continued.

Hopefully, Rob Kardashian will use the unfortunate situation surrounding the murder of Chinx as a way to finally turn his life around.
