Deceased Woman’s Breasts, Toe Cut Off By ‘Frenemy’ At Funeral Viewing, Makeup And Hair Also Ruined

A deceased woman’s body was allegedly mutilated during her funeral viewing by a woman that family call a “frenemy.” Shaynna Sims, also known as Shaynna Smith, is charged with illegal dissection of a corpse and removing body parts after it was discovered she cut off her former friend Tabitha’s toe and breasts during a funeral viewing. The horrific mutilations were discovered when Tabitha’s body was taken for cremation.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Shaynna was arrested after a family member called police when she noticed that the woman had cut the hair of the deceased, cut her face and smudged her makeup during the viewing. In addition to altering the appearance of Tabitha, Sims also stole the dead woman’s shoes. Sims was arrested after police discovered scissors, a box cutter and makeup which was reportedly taken from Tabitha’s casket. However, the family was informed of an even sinister plot by Sims when the deceased woman’s body was taken for cremation.

According to New On 6, when the body was taken for cremation the crematory discovered that Tabitha was missing a toe and her breasts which had been crudely cut and removed from her body after death.

“It was discovered the defendant further mutilated the deceased and has subsequently been charged with unauthorized removal of body parts from a dead body.”

The family says that Tabitha and Shaynna were “frenemies” as Tabatha was a longtime friend of Sims’ husband. Tabitha was arrested on five counts of first-degree burglary, larceny of a person, concealing stolen property, unauthorized dissection of a corpse and interrupting a funeral. However, a sixth count of removing body parts has been added with the discovery of the new details regarding the gruesome attack of the corpse.

Since the incident, Shaynna’s husband has filed a protective order against her in a bid to protect himself and daughter after she was released from jail pending trial. Shaynna was released on bail prior to the sixth charge being brought against the woman. Now stronger bond is being suggested after the discovery of the body part removal. The victim’s family says they are “outraged and sickened” about what happened to Tabitha’s body and that they just want the “nightmare” to be over.

“We are outraged and sickened. Every time we think this nightmare is over, something else comes out. It’s a never-ending, evil nightmare.”

When Shaynna was arrested for the assault of Tabitha’s corpse, she was on a deferred sentence for assaulting another woman and had received complaints of child abuse that same month.
