John Edwards Denies Link To New York Prostitution Ring

The “Soccer Mom Madam” had a long list of rich clients in New York, and apparently, one of those clients was John Edwards. A call girl that worked for the “Millionaire Madam,” Anna Gristina, told investigators that she was paid to have sex with the former senator in 2007 but Edwards denies the claim.

Edwards lawyer, Allison Van Laningham, told Politico:

“Mr. Edwards categorically denies that he was involved with any prostitute or service. These allegations are false, defamatory, and he puts those who would publish or repeat them on notice that they acting with actual malice by reporting or repeating them.”

The story was original published on DNA Info. According to an inside source, Edwards visited the Soccer Mom Madame in 2007 when he was raising money in New York for his bid at the presidency. The encounter allegedly took place at a hotel in the Upper East Side.

The source said:

“Most of the women don’t have any idea about the identities of the men they sleep with,” a source explained. “How would they know a money man from Wall Street or the face of a lawyer or banker who shows up? But the face of the national politician?… She knew.”

Gristina was recently arrested for running a $15 million prostitution ring in New York. Gristina’s “little black book” allegedly contains the names of politicians and businessman who used her service.
