David Letterman And Julia Roberts Kiss Better Than Drake And Madonna

Julia Roberts and David Letterman shared a passionate kiss on his show Wednesday night. Gossip Cop has the scoop.

“Julia Roberts shared one final passionate kiss with David Letterman during her last appearance with him on Wednesday’s ‘Late Show.’ Roberts has been a guest on the show twenty-six times, and the two have kissed during many of those appearances.”

Gossip Cop then goes on to describe the situation, where David Letterman played a video that showed he and Julia Roberts kissing five times throughout the years. Letterman proceeded to stand up at the end of the video as Roberts touched up her hair. Next, Letterman took Roberts to the center of the stage, grabbed her face, and passionately kissed her. The audience loved it, and no feelings were hurt.

The same can’t be said about two other celebrities who recently made out on stage: Drake and Madonna. Though the event seemed to be planned (with both hinting at it for several weeks before they wagged tongues), Drake made a nasty face after Madonna kissed him. This caused Madonna to be slut-shamed, age-shamed, and shamed for just about everything else. Some people called the criticism sexist since nobody condemned Drake.

David Letterman, who has been accused of sexism himself at times, will retire from the Late Show at the end of the month. He recently talked about the need to retire with Rolling Stone.

“My input now is less than it’s ever been. They’re sick of me saying this, but I tell the producers, ‘I’m not a producer, you’re the producers. You come get me when the show is ready, and it will either go smoothly or it won’t,’ which is maybe an indicator that you shouldn’t be hosting your 11:30 comedy show much longer.”

Rolling Stone notes that the biggest turning point in David Letterman’s life happened when his child was born in 2003. Many have said how much fatherhood has changed Letterman and even his attitude towards his own show. Many will miss the late-night star, who Joshua Rothman of the New Yorker recently described as “irreplaceable.”

“I’m sure a great comedian will be found to replace Letterman (I’m rooting for Tina Fey, or Grumpy Cat), but I suspect that it will be hard for that person to do a show like Letterman’s. It’s not just that Letterman himself is irreplaceable; it’s that his audience is, too.”

Whether or not you were a fan of David Letterman, nobody can deny the impact he’s had on American culture since the 1980s. David Letterman will certainly be missed, but his influence will live on long after retirement.
