Jacqueline Laurita Says Treating Autism Is A Costly Journey

Jacqueline Laurita may not be filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey anymore, but she isn’t out of the spotlight yet. Before Jacqueline left the show, she announced that her son Nicholas, who was born while she was filming the show, had been diagnosed with autism. It has been a fight for her and her family to get him the treatment that works.

Since leaving the show behind, Jacqueline Laurita has dedicated her life to helping her son, and she has been speaking about autism as a public speaker. Jacqueline has tried to launch other business ventures, but her focus always goes back to her children.

According to a new Bravo report, Jacqueline Laurita is now revealing that she wants to help other parents who have autistic children. Laurita has devoted her life to her autistic child, and she has tried different treatment options. Now she wants to pay this knowledge forward, and she is opening up on her website about her experiences.

“It can be a costly journey because, unfortunately, insurance doesn’t always cover the therapies and treatments that you will want for your child,” Jacqueline Laurita revealed about her autistic child, adding, “Just know that there are cheaper options out there, and even free options, to make sure your child is getting what they need to thrive. Don’t beat yourself up if some of these treatments or therapies I talk about are not easily accessible to you. Keep in mind that what works for one child, does not necessarily mean it will work for another child. It’s all trial and error.”

Jacqueline has done much to support her child. According to the Inquisitr, Laurita has tackled online bullying of autistic children, and she has defended her son against people who don’t understand. But Jacqueline has a different understanding of the struggle, and she has tried to share this on her website.

“I like to say that children with Autism are like snowflakes,” Jacqueline Laurita revealed, adding, “Even though they are labeled the same, each one is beautiful and bright, but different and unique. Each one is structured differently. It is our job as parents to get to know our child and to pay attention to what is working or not working for them.”

Even though Laurita may not be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she still attends events with other housewives. She recently attended an event with Luann De Lesseps from The Real Housewives of New York.
