Emily Maynard’s Darkest Times: ‘Bachelorette’-No-More Awaits Baby’s Arrival, Reveals ‘Darkest Times’ Of Her Life

Emily Maynard revealed the darkest times of her life were when she was on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and in the aftermath of those two reality shows. According to Fox 411, Emily sat down for an interview with WCCB in her hometown in Charlotte, North Carolina, when she revealed just how hard doing those reality dating shows were for her.

While losing her beau, Ricky Hendrick, in a plane crash back in 2004 was without question one of the hardest things that Emily has ever had to go through (she was pregnant with his child, her now 9-year-old daughter Ricki, at the time), the blonde beauty ranks her experience with reality television pretty high up on the “bad times” meter.

“I would watch [the show] and think ‘I should have done this, done that.’ And having everything blow up in my face a couple times and go through a public embarrassment a couple times, it wasn’t ideal.”

Emily Maynard said this was “one of the darkest times of my life,” but she is happy to be able to put all of that behind her. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Emily is pregnant with her second child, married to an absolutely wonderful guy, Tyler Johnson. The two are getting ready to welcome a baby boy in July, and Emily says that she is really looking forward to it.

According to the Celebrity Cafe, Emily hasn’t had the easiest pregnancy — she has been sick, a lot — but she is ready for those late night feedings, and everything else that comes with having a newborn.

“Tyler has seen me throw up in his gym bag, pretty much everywhere. So if he still finds me attractive after all of that, I think we’re good!”

And as far as what Emily and Tyler plan on naming their baby, well that’s a work in progress.

“We are going back and forth [on names]. I told Tyler that if he gets to pick the last name for everybody, then I should pick the first name and if he wanted to pick the first name, then it can take my last name and be a Maynard! He did not like that, so we’re still compromising.”

Emily Maynard is happy to put the darkest times of her life behind her, and to become a mom again. Are you a fan of hers?
