Bristol Palin Slams Obama Over Sandra Fluke Controversy

Bristol Palin is really upset that President Obama decided to call Sandra Fluke after she was insulted by Rush Limbaugh but he never called her after she was ridiculed by his supporters.

Bristol wrote in her blog,

“Dear President Obama, You don’t know my telephone number, but I hope your staff is busy trying to find it. Ever since you called Sandra Fluke after Rush Limbaugh called her a slut, I figured I might be next. But here’s why I’m a little surprised my phone hasn’t rung. Your $1,000,000 donor Bill Maher has said reprehensible things about my family. He’s made fun of my brother because of his Down’s Syndrome. He’s said I was “f—-d so hard a baby fell out.” (In a classy move, he did this while his producers put up the cover of my book, which tells about the forgiveness and redemption I’ve found in God after my past — very public — mistakes.) If Maher talked about Malia and Sasha that way, you’d return his dirty money and the Secret Service would probably have to restrain you. After all, I’ve always felt you understood my plight more than most because your mom was a teenager. That’s why you stood up for me when you were campaigning against Sen. McCain and my mom — you said vicious attacks on me should be off limits.”

Sarah Palin Tweeted on Monday,

“Bristol has a new blog at Patheos. Her recent post asks some excellent questions of our President. Please click…”

Sarah Palin had already made a public call for the Obama super PAC, Priorities USA, to return Maher’s check and disavow his remarks.

“Pres. Obama says he called Sandra Fluke because of his daughters. For the sake of everyone’s daughter, why doesn’t his super PAC return the $1 million he got from a rabid misogynist?”

Earlier this month Priorities USA chairman Bill Burton responded to Palin’s request, dismissing the idea that Maher’s comments should be treated the same way as Limbaugh’s.

“But the notion that there is an equivalence between what a comedian has said over the course of his career and what the de facto leader of the Republican Party said to sexually degrade a woman who engaged in an important political debate of our time is crazy. There’s no similarity between what Rush Limbaugh said, lying about the argument that Miss Fluke was making, that law student at Georgetown, and what a comedian has said in the past. And then finally, if we want to have this debate where we’re stacking up what supporters of candidates have said over time, Mitt Romney begged Ted Nugent for his endorsement and he gave it to him and he embraced it and his campaign was bragging about it. I mean, you look at some of the things he’s said. But this is all distraction from the fact that there are real differences in this race between Mitt Romney and President Obama on key issues, and that’s what’s important here. Where do they stand on contraception? What kind of Supreme Court justice is Mitt Romney going to put in place? An Antonin Scalia or an Elena Kagan? That’s the argument that I think is important here.”

Do you think it is hypocritical for the Democrats to make such a stink over Limbaugh’s comments but feel no responsibility when their own does the same?
