Winning Powerball Numbers May 9: Watch $90 Million Jackpot Drawing Live Online

What are the winning Powerball numbers for May 9, and how can you watch the drawing live online?

Saturday night’s jackpot is $90 million, making it the sixth drawing since there has been a big winner in the popular lottery game. Watch the Powerball drawing live online on WRAL at 11 p.m. ET, or on any of these TV stations.

UPDATE: The winning Powerball numbers for May 9 are: 4, 15, 17, 35, 58 PB 17

The odds that you’ll become the lottery’s newest multi–millionaire tonight are slim (1 in 175 million), but the return on your $2 investment could be life-changing. According to CNN, you have a better chance of getting crushed by an asteroid falling from the sky (1 in 700,000), or being attacked by a shark (1 in 12 million), than winning the Powerball jackpot.

The last drawing on May 6 did not produce a jackpot winner, but there were two $1 million tickets sold in California and Connecticut, and a $2 million winning ticket sold in Maine. According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, the $1 million second prize is won by matching five white balls in any order (no Powerball), but the lucky winner in Maine scored an extra $1 million because they paid an extra $1 for the Power Play feature.

Odds aside, it’s always nice to dream about quitting your job and living off your Powerball jackpot winnings, isn’t it?

While the odds aren’t good that you will be rolling in cash after tonight’s Powerball drawing, there is a chance that you could win a non-jackpot prize worth anywhere from $4 (just the Powerball) to $1 million (match five numbers, no Powerball). While you wait for the numbers to be drawn tonight, check your tickets from recent drawings to see if you have a non-jackpot prize.
