WWE Rumors: Stone Cold Steve Austin Is Sure He Will Be At ‘WrestleMania 32’ – Will He Wrestle In His Home State?

WrestleMania 32 is shaping up to be a huge event in Texas for WWE next year. They’re looking to break their indoor attendance record and hoping that this will be one for the ages. Word is that The Undertaker could be wrestling his final match during the event, and it may be against Sting. Hulk Hogan says he will have one final match as well. Now, it looks like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be there too, but will he be wrestling?

Steve Austin was a part of WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, and it was all a big opening between him, Hogan, and The Rock. Austin recently had a sit-down with Sports Illustrated, and said he was excited about the way it was going to happen.

“Vince (McMahon) called and said, ‘Here’s the set-up. Hulk Hogan’s going to come out and he’ll cut a promo. All of a sudden, they’re going to hit The Rock’s music. He’ll go out and cut a promo. All of a sudden – crash – it’s Stone Cold’s music, and you’ll go out and cut a promo – then bam, we start WrestleMania XXX.’ That’s the way it was pitched to me.”

Before the event actually happened in New Orleans though, Austin was getting prepped for the big moment and learned something different. The Rock told him that he would be going out last and when Austin saw the creative sheet, he learned the order was Hogan, Austin, and then Rock.

“I’m thinking to myself, ‘This is bull—-,'” said Austin. “This is not what I was sold, this is not what I bought.”

Combine that with rumors of serious heat between Austin and WWE regarding his podcast, merchandise, and other things, and it doesn’t seem like they would ever work together again. Austin has since squashed those rumors and said that he loves WWE and there is no heat between the two of them.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin hasn’t been on the WWE scene in a while now, but WrestleMania 32 is going to be in his home state next year. According to the 50-year-old “rattlesnake,” that sets things up perfectly.

“There was no creative for me at WrestleMania XXXI. Now with WrestleMania XXXII coming up in Texas, I would be pretty damn sure I’m going to be there. It’s my home state and it just makes more sense.”

Austin says that he has a major announcement coming up, but he won’t quite say what it is. He does go as far as to say that it “will be a major press announcement,” but won’t reveal if it has to do with wrestling or not.

If Austin does end up wrestling at WrestleMania 32, he could do it as he believes he’s in the best shape of his life. A program wouldn’t really need to be started until around January so there is still time. As of now, next year’s event is already shaping up to be huge and historic.
