Woman Claims To Have Photographic Evidence Of A Real Fairy: Is It Tinkerbell Or Just An Exotic Insect?

An enchanting photo of what could be a genuine fairy has been captured on camera by a British woman, but cynics have suggested it’s no Tinkerbell but merely an exotic insect.

When British mum of two Lisa Wildgoose was prowling through the ancient Bluebell Woods near her hometown of Towcester with her trusty camera, she wasn’t short of aesthetically pleasing things to take snaps off.

Yet when the 42-year-old returned home to upload pictures of various flowers to her computer she was left reeling after spotting a mysterious figure, which hadn’t been visible to the naked eye, dancing about in one of the photos.

“What on earth could the mysterious flying figure be,” pondered Lisa. And then she enlarged the image; the answer seemed as plain as the nose on her face.

Any last vestiges of doubt were soon cast aside when her two five-year-old daughters Mia and Madison confirmed what their mother was thinking and enthusiastically shouted, “That’s not a fly mum, that’s a fairy.”

“I was really shocked and freaked out at first. I thought it was probably just a fly, which it might well be, but when the girls saw it, there was no doubt in their mind.”

The photo clearly shows a tiny winged figure merrily hovering near a drooping bluebell and Lisa explained to the Mirror that, when enlarged, the captivating creature looks like it is sporting blonde hair and wearing little trousers.

“As a little girl I grew up believing in fairies and Tinkerbell is my favourite film so I would love it be a real-life fairy.

“I don’t know if Tinkerbell would really wear trousers but with the blonde hair and shiny shoes it’s too much of a coincidence!”

Lisa, who runs her own photography company called Wildgoose Photographics, admits that in all likelihood the creature is probably not a fairy but an exotic insect, but she still dares to dream it could be one of the elusive and little seen fair folk.

“People have said it’s just a mosquito or a midge – and they are probably right – but I just think it’s too much of a coincidence that it is wearing what looks like trousers and shoes.”

And all the other mums Lisa is friendly with tend to agree that it’s no insect but pure fairy.

“All the mums at the school have said it is a fairy – I think everyone just likes to believe in that bit of magic that reminds them of being a child.”

Fairy or not, for Lisa and many others the image captures that wonder of childhood and the magical possibilities of “what if…”

“My daughter have often asked me if I believe in fairies and I always tell them I do – I suppose it’s just the little girl in me that would love it to be true!”
