Meghan Trainor Shares Her Bad Experience With Tinder [Video]

People have been interested in the love life of Meghan Trainor lately. After several of her music videos candidly express her ongoing search for her “future husband,” fans have started wondering where Meghan Trainor is looking to find a man.

According to MTV News, Meghan Trainor was recently interviewed by Shazam Top 20 to talk about her experience searching for love, during which she admitted she tried the popular dating app Tinder. But after some disappointing experiences trying to meet boys through the application, Meghan claims she won’t be returning to Tinder anytime soon.

“Tinder. I was on that for a hot week when I wasn’t famous. Then these dudes hit me up. One kid said, ‘Do you wanna hook up in my mom’s car?’ I said, ‘Not really.’ And he was like, ‘You’re missing out.’ I said, ‘I’m sure. Deuces.’ Like, that’s all I got from Tinder.”

Meghan Trainor’s experience on Tinder came shortly after surprising reports last week that Hilary Duff was also searching for a man using the Tinder app. Duff, unlike Trainor, defended the app.

“In my life, I have always had really serious boyfriends,” said Hilary. “I’ve always met people through work and I have never been on a blind date. What’s the worst that could happen?”

While Meghan Trainor’s experience may not have been a horror story, her disappointing run-in with Tinder duds could be the answer Hilary Duff is looking for. The worst that could happen is you waste your time. However, Meghan Trainor did admit that she met Hilary Duff recently and the two of them got along, despite their differences in methods for looking for love.

“That’s my girl. I recently met her,” Meghan Trainor said about Hilary Duff. “She’s the coolest person ever.”

When asked what she would actually prefer in men outside of the guys on Tinder, Meghan Trainor agreed she would prefer “classy guys with their own apartments.”

“That’s the goal!” said Meghan. “Or at least a job would be nice. A job. Get a job. Don’t have your mom’s car.”
