Fredrik Eklund Shares Heartbreaking News: ‘She Died In My Arms’

Fredrik Eklund is known for always being a happy real-estate agent who gets deals done for his clients. It is no secret that he has been very successful in New York, and he is often referred to as the top agent in Manhattan. However, Eklund does have a private life that he shares with his husband, Derek Kaplan. And these two have been living together with their two beloved dogs, Mousey and Fritzy.

However, over the past couple of days, Fredrik Eklund has ben sharing some heartbreaking updates with his fans. Last month, his dog Mousey went in for surgery and came home without ears. It has been a struggle for Fredrik because his dog was so sick, but yesterday things took a turn for the worse.

According to a new Instagram post, Fredrik Eklund is now revealing that his beloved dog Mousey past away in his arms last night after a brave battle. Eklund has previously revealed that the dog was unable to keep her food down and local vets had given up on her. But it sounds like Fredrik got a chance to say goodbye.

“Late last night little Mousey died in my arms. She was surrounded by the people that loved her the most, and we came together in the hospital room and all kissed her at the same time in a circle. At the very end, she suddenly looked like a puppy again, and got completely still with what I think was an inner calm. She knew it was time. No more twitching, seizures, coughing or vomiting, she just looked at us calmly and said good bye,” Fredrik Eklund revealed in an emotional Instagram post.

Eklund explains that Derek had been working on finding a cure for the dog. In an emotional state of mind, Fredrik decided to go for a run. Later that night, things took a turn for the worse and they came together to say goodbye. Many of Eklund’s fans were sending him well wishes and many came with interesting comments. Some claimed that Mousey was making room for his daughter Milla, who will arrive via surrogate very soon, according to the Inquisitr.

“The weirdest was probably coming home after the hospital. The apartment was so empty and dark. No more sunlight. So we lit a candle for her. Fritzy was so confused and looked for her everywhere. Then I saw her favorite little red sweater on the table. Her empty water bowl. Her basket. And then – it really hit me. She is finally gone. Everything was so quiet,” Fredrik Eklund reveals, adding that he absolutely adored his dog and his Instagram profile is proof that these two were best friends.
