Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs. Manny Pacquaio Is Phenomenally Showcased Through Nintendo’s ‘Punch-Out!’ [Video]

Last night, the “Fight of the Century” happened. The world now knows that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the better fighter when it comes to a Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. However, the “Fight of the Century” turned out to be a dud. The Inquisitr reported on the fight, which the media collectively reported that boxing is now dead, though they blamed fans who were posers utilizing the #MayPac hashtag.

Though Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao was overall a boring fight, as reported by USA Today, people who didn’t see the fight (but want to without having to be bored) can watch a simulation with Punch-Out. Not only that, but it does a phenomenal job showcasing exactly how the fight went.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, Noober Goober Gaming recreated the fight, utilizing the old Punch-Out game on the original Nintendo. The Noober Goober Gaming team replaced Mike Tyson with Floyd Mayweather Jr. as the last boss, while Manny Pacquiao replaced Little Mac, the underdog who needed to defeat the undefeated champion. The first round of the fight was animated in a way to truly show how the rest of the fight would go, where Mayweather danced about the ring to avoid Pacquiao. And whenever Pacquiao got close enough, Mayweather would “hug him” to stop the onslaught.

In conclusion, the best part of the entire video was — believe it or not — the very beginning. Prior to the fight, the player has to agree to the terms Floyd Mayweather Jr. has set. Some of the terms include the venue being held at the MGM Grand, daily drug tests, wearing specific gear, and no rematch. If the player doesn’t agree, there is no fight. What is peculiar about this part of the video is that in real life, Mayweather set such terms for Pacquiao to agree to for the fight. Because of this setup, many boxing fans believe that the fight was rigged in favor of Mayweather in the beginning.

Nevertheless, the so-called “Fight of the Century” is over. Thanks to Noober Goober Gaming, people can relive Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao again and again, without getting bored.
