Stylist for Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams Voted Hollywood’s Most Powerful

If you’re a celebrity hoping to make a splash on the red carpets of Hollywood, you could do a lot worse than hire Kate Young.

The stylist, who was behind some of Michelle Williams’ and Natalie Portman’s red carpet outings in 2011, has topped The Hollywood Reporter‘s list of the 25 most powerful showbiz trendsetters. Young took top spot after Portman received rave reviews for her outfits, in the same year that the actress was pregnant and won the best actress Oscar for Black Swan.

Leslie Fremar was at No. 2 (she dresses Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson, amongst others), while Petra Flannery is No. 3 (Flannery has worked with the likes of Mila Kunis and Megan Fox).

L’Wren Scott, who is engaged to Mick Jagger and is the stylist of choice for first lady Michelle Obama, came in at No. 12.

The top five was as follows:

2. Leslie Fremar (clients: Charlize Theron, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson)

4. Elizabeth Stewart (clients: Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Freida Pinto, Jennifer Lawren)
5. Kemal Harris and Karla Welch (clients: Olivia Wilde, Hailee Steinfeld, Zooey Deschanel)
