Mother’s Day 2015: Give Mom What She Really Wants

Mother’s Day 2015 is literally around the corner. In just a week and a half, billions will be commemorating their mothers’ incredible sacrifices and accomplishments with flowers, cards, jewelry, words of encouragement, and love. With that in mind, it’s time to get mom the perfect gift.

But what does she really want? Every mom likes flowers, jewelry, and a meaningful card. And you really can’t go wrong with a new set of throw pillows or other home decor gift. But is that the only thing that will make her happy?

A previous report on Inquistr highlighted a recent survey detailing what mom’s actually want for Mother’s Day. While a large number stated that they wanted flowers and a meal out with their family, an equal called the survey materialistic and stated that it wasn’t always the material things that made them happy.

Two videos have recently gone viral to show exactly what is the most meaningful thing they can get for mother’s day, and it’s not a bouquet. It’s words of kindness.

Hallmark recently released a new series of Mother’s Day ads, which besides functioning as great marketing for their card collection, show the bond between mothers and their children.

The first video in the series interviewed a pair of sisters to see what they loved about their mom. The pair didn’t say “thank you” or “I love you” once in the video, but they expressed their heartfelt love in other words.

Little did they know, their mother was listening in on the conversation the whole time. The heartwarming video is the perfect demonstration of what Mother’s Day 2015 should be all about. You can watch the video here.

Another video that has received more than 1.5 million views was another advertisement sponsored by Telaflora. In the video, a flower delivery woman shows up to a mom’s door with a tablet featuring a video. Her son, who lives across the country, had recorded a heartfelt message expressing his love and gratitude for everything she had done for him.

When the video was over, mom was, of course, in tears, but the gift wasn’t over yet. You can see what final Mother’s Day surprise awaited her by viewing the video here.

As you can see from these incredible videos, each of which is gaining popularity quickly, sometimes the greatest gift is words from the heart.

This mother’s day, get your mom what she really wants. With the right inspiration, you can easily make Mother’s Day 2015 the best one yet.
