Jessa Duggar, Anna Duggar, And Jill Duggar Share Pregnancy Photo, Ben Seewald Talks Baby Names
Jessa Duggar’s sister-in-law recently shared a pregnancy photo that she had to keep secret for the last few weeks. The picture in question shows Anna, Jessa, and Jill all showing off their baby bumps of assorted sizes, and Jessa looks a lot happier to be pregnant than poor Jill.
Anna Duggar, the wife of Josh Duggar, had to hold off on sharing the Instagram snapsot below because Jessa decided to wait until she was pretty far along in her pregnancy to announce that she was expecting. Obviously, Anna didn’t want to steal Jessa’s thunder by breaking the baby news first.
“Congratulations Ben & Jessa on your pregnancy!” Anna captioned the Duggar triple play picture. “It was so fun to have all 3 of us pregnant together!!!”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, 22-year-old Jessa Duggar and 19-year-old Ben Seewald are expecting their first child to arrive on November 1, which just happens to be the date of their first wedding anniversary. According to Us Weekly, Jill Duggar announced her pregnancy 8 weeks after she got knocked up. Jessa is already 12 weeks along, so why did she wait so much longer to reveal her baby bump?
Perhaps TLC wanted Jessa to make her big announcement on the day her 19 Kids and Counting honeymoon episode aired. People broke the news yesterday morning, and the online version of the magazine revealed that Jessa and Ben Seewald would be sharing a special message about their pregnancy during their reality show. This was a sneaky way to help 19 Kids and Counting score higher ratings.
It’s also possible that Jessa Duggar wanted to let her older sister Jill continue to enjoy the attention her own pregnancy was getting. If Jessa had followed in Jill’s footsteps by making her announcement 8 weeks into her pregnancy, Jill would still be pregnant with baby Israel (he was born on April 6). The sisters would be battling for tabloid space, those old sibling rivalry rumors would resurface, and People readers would probably be complaining about Duggar overload.
As it stands, People has already shared two Jessa Duggar pregnancy updates today. When the couple was asked if they would follow in Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s footsteps by choosing baby names that all begin with the same first letter, Ben Seewald jokingly suggested that he and Jessa might challenge themselves by trying to come up with “Q” names for each addition to their brood.
“I like Quincy. That’s a unique name.”
People also reported that Jessa and Ben aren’t giving up on their adoption plans, but it could be two years before they’re allowed to adopt — if they’re actually serious about doing so. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Duggar family follows the teachings of Bill Gothard, the founder of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). Gothard has spoken out against adoption, so it will be surprising if Jessa and Ben go through with their plan. The young couple also hints that Jessa might be expecting twins in the video below, so they could decide that adoption is not an option if they find themselves struggling to take care of two babies at once.
Hopefully, Ben and Jessa don’t try feeding their infant (or infants) smoothies right away.
