Kim Kardashian Airport Outfit: $2,642 For Hoodie And Jeans Stuns, Compared To Duchess Kate Middleton’s Style
Kim Kardashian put together an airport outfit for $2,642 that looked, to a casual observer, like a $26 outfit from a Blue Light special. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians queen combined a hoodie and skinny jeans, but added a crocodile designer bag to put that price tag on her style, reported Us Weekly.
How is it possible for clothes to cost so much? Give a nod to designer names. That simple hoodie? By Vetements. About those jeans? Say hello to J Brand “Photo Ready Distressed Cropped Skinny” jeans. That totals $1,097.
But when you’re a Kardashian, you’re not ready to walk through an airport without those essential accessories. Kim chose Saint Laurent sunglasses for $395 and a Givenchy bag for $1,150.
It all adds up to a tidy $2,642 for Kim’s airport outfit.
And it’s not just Kim who dresses up for such occasions. As the Inquisitr reported, Kim K has turned North West into a designer attire mini-me. Recently, the toddler took to a fur vest, which Kim and Kanye West decided was perfect for sitting front row at a fashion show, despite loud and vigorous crying from their child, shown below.

How does that compare to Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s style, which has been highly praised around the world? Princess Kate began with a preppy look, reported Vanity Fair.
But as Duchess Kate settled into her royal life, she found her gracious groove. And the famous “Kate effect” was born long before the birth of her first baby Prince George.
For example, when Kate revealed that she was engaged, she donned a royal blue Issa dress that vanished from stores within a day. Her choice of classic Reiss dresses equally made salespeople happy.
When the Duchess of Cambridge chose a custom-made wedding gown fashioned by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Kate earned the unofficial title of British Fashion Ambassador.
In contrast to Reality TV Diva Kim Kardashian, however, Duchess Kate keeps her style chic yet modestly inexpensive. For example, while she’s been seen in empire-style dresses during her pregnancy, she loves to jazz it up (princess-style, of course) with LK Bennett nude heels.
But it’s not just Duchess Kate and Diva Kim who have distinctively different styles and ideas of appropriate costs for their own outfits.
As the Inquisitr reported, Princess Kate and Prince William both have sought to keep Prince George (and soon their second child) apart from the press and in a normal atmosphere, complete with normal toddler attire. They have allowed only three press events at which the child could be photographed.
And for Prince William, emphasizing normalcy and simplicity are key, revealed Penny Junor, author of Prince William: Born to Be King.
“What he loves about Kate is the normality that goes with her. The Middleton home has been a haven for him. He can step out of being royal and be normal, and they are just a very happy, normal family. That’s what he craves.”
