Tom Brady continues to find success late in his career. He’s coming off of an MVP performance in what NFL fans consider the greatest game of all time. He has won four Super Bowls in all. Brady has been the MVP in three of them. He is married to a supermodel. Is there anything in this world that Tom Brady can’t do?
Actually, he is a pretty terrible pitcher.
Tom wasn’t too broken up about being down and way away with his pitch to the Red Sox’s David Ortiz. As a matter of fact, he managed to poke fun at himself on his Facebook page.
Going to stick to catcher and leave the throwing to the football field…
Of course, all of the Brady haters probably enjoyed seeing the two-time NFL MVP botch his opportunity at Fenway Park. One of Brady’s biggest detractors couldn’t stop talking about it at his weekly news conference. Leave it up to Buffalo Bill’s new head coach Rex Ryan to be quick to point out a Tom Brady error.
“I think there’s an obvious thing that we should talk about first, My pitch actually made it to the plate. It was a little wide, but I understand somebody bounced it — I’m not sure who it was — but Tom needs to keep his elbow up a little bit more, I think.”
Ryan wasn’t done with poking fun at Brady, but he did give the QB a back handed compliment.
“Brady is funny because here is a guy who is first-ballot Hall of Famer. If he ever does something wrong, yes, I’ll be all over him. But that doesn’t happen very often. So that was a given, you know I was going to say something there.”
Tom Brady will not be on the pitching staff for the Red Sox any time soon, but he definitely did not have the worst first pitch of all celebrities. Who can forget the first pitch of all time be rapper 50 cent at a Mets game?
Maybe, the problem just has something to do with recording artists. Carly Rae Jepsen had a pretty tough time on the mound as well for the Rays.
I would be interested to know who you thought had the worst of first pitches. Does it go to Carly Rae or rapper 50 Cent, or do you hate Tom Brady just enough to give him the nod? Tell us below.
