Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: News Grows Cold, Bobby Brown Returns To Work, Nick Gordon Still A Suspect
The fate of Bobbi Kristina Brown is as uncertain as it was more than three months ago when she ended up in an Atlanta hospital after a near-drowning incident left her unresponsive and fighting for her life. Bobbi Kristina, the treasured daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been in a medically induced coma ever since. At one point, doctors attempted to bring her out of the coma, but she experienced such violent seizures she was once again put under. The only positive so far in this scenario is that seizure activity means Bobbi Kristina is not brain dead.
Bobby Brown has been by his daughter’s side through the entire hospital stay, and the subsequent move to a rehabilitation unit, where Bobbi Kristina currently remains. A report by People quotes a family source as saying the Brown and Houston families are getting along, and Bobbi Kristina is still visited daily by Bobby Brown and Pat and Gary Houston. Medical decisions continue to be handled by Bobby Brown.
“It’s quiet and peaceful. The family has brought some things from home for her. Not much – just a few things, like a blanket and some pictures. Everyone’s all cried out by now. We love her and want her to recover.”
In a related report by the Inquisitr,Nick Gordon is still under investigation by the Roswell Police Department for the events leading up to the tragic near-drowning that led to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s current state. They do not believe the incident to be accidental, and are continuing to investigate as a criminal case. Gordon has yet to share any information regarding what happened between the couple on that fateful day, but was reportedly arguing with Bobbi Kristina in the hours before the incident.
Chaka Khan, performer and long time friend of Bobbi Kristina’s family, has shared her sadness over the young girl’s situation.
“I’ve been in conversation with the family. Everyone’s devastated, everyone. I love Bobbi Kristina, I love Whitney, I love Bobby Brown. I love Cissy — I love them all. But we just have to wait for what happens next. All I want to do is be there for them. I just need to pray… Whitney would be devastated.”
Many reports have accused Cissy and Pat Houston of trying to convince Bobby Brown to take Bobbi Kristina off life support. If that is true, we have not heard it from Pat or Cissy. In fact, Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy, has made it known that she prays for the recovery of her granddaughter.
“We’re praying. I don’t pray like that — I give it to God one time, ’cause I know he’s able. And I cannot change a thing. So I’m asking everybody just pray to the Lord, who we know can do something about it. If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I’m alright.”
After postponing a concert series that includes performers such as Stephanie Mills and El DeBarge in March, Bobby Brown is obligated to fulfill a contract he signed prior to Bobbi Kristina’s incident, and now must return to work.
