Taissa Farmiga Hopes To Check Into ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’

Good news for fans of American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Coven! Taissa Farmiga is expressing interest in returning for the fifth season of American Horror Story. In a recent interview, Farmiga was asked if fans could expect her to consider a return to the American Horror Story anthology series.

“Well, Season 4 [Freak Show] just ended. So I’m hoping the fans will be able see me in the next season of American Horror Story, but we’ll see. No promises.”

Although Ms. Farmiga played Violet Harmon on AHS: Murder House, she’s probably more recently known for her role as Zoe Benson in American Horror Story: Coven and it was that season that held the most memorable moment for Taissa.

“My favorite scene that I’ve shot, the most recent one, was on Coven, when I got to be impaled onto the wall,” Ms. Farmiga said. “I got to sit there for like an hour on this awesome rig and just be leaning on the wall. And it was pretty fun, blood, guts, it was great.”

Strangely for one so eager to rejoin American Horror Story, Taissa confessed that she’s not exactly a die-hard horror fan and that she’s thus far avoided watching American Horror Story: Freak Show.

“I haven’t watched this past season because I’m trying to find the right time to do it. I need to get the right group of people who will just support me…I literally hate horror things, and it’s my friends up on screen [and] they’re dying. It’s hard. It’s emotional.”

While the decision of whether Taissa Farmiga may yet return to American Horror Story is still in question, Ms. Farmiga is still keeping busy with other projects. She just recently screened two films at Austin’s SXSW Film Festival. One of those films, The Final Girls, is a horror-comedy co-starring Nina Dobrev. To hear Ms. Farmiga describe it, the film sounds like an American Horror Story idea in itself.

“My character in The Final Girls is 18-year-old Max. She’s kind of like this 90’s chick. She’s got her Doc Martens and flannel, and she’s dealing with the death of her mom. So two years have passed and she gets sucked into her mom’s famous horror movie.”

In addition to those two projects (The Final Girls and 6 Years), Taissa has also been occupied with the shooting of the pilot for a new ABC drama also starring Erika Christensen entitled L.A. Crime. It seems like quite a bit on her plate, but that’s not the end of Ms. Farmiga’s list of projects. Taissa is also working on a romantic drama based on the life of Howard Hughes, In a Valley of Violence, also featuring Ethan Hawke and John Travolta.

Taissa Farmiga may return to American Horror Story or she may not, but, either way, it seems her star is on the rise.
