‘Boy Meets World’ Alum Returning For Spin-Off Show

The Boy Meets World hit spin-off Girl Meets World is bringing back yet another alum for a special guest appearance. In addition to series regulars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, Girl Meets World has had appearances by Rider Strong, William Russ, William Daniels, Betsy Randle, and Will Friedle.

Since season 2 was green-lit, it’s said that Anthony Tyler Quinn is getting ready to make a guest appearance. For fans of the original ABC show, you may know Anthony as Jonathan Turner, Shawn and Cory’s Homeroom teacher. He had a curly mullet and he was the coolest because he rode a motorcycle and wore a leather jacket.

Mr. Turner was the only father figure for Shawn in the earlier seasons, and actually became a mentor and a pseudo parent for the troubled teen for a while. At one point, Mr. Turner became Shawn’s legal guardian, but a motorcycle accident put the kibosh on that in season 3.

Once the show’s writers revealed the news on Twitter, Quinn spoke up on Twitter to confirm Mr. Turner’s return to the Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World series.

Back when Girl Meets World’s first season was still being completed, the actor spoke to Huffington Post about where Mr. Turner would fit into the new spin-off series. It seemed like even back in 2012 he had an idea.

“He could watch [the characters] from a distance as a teacher might do. Or maybe they’ve been in touch this whole time and never really talked about it. Obviously, I think my character would have grown in the education field, maybe become an administrator.”

Fans are already excited about Mr. Turner’s return to the Boy Meets World universe.
