‘State Of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition’ Will Reward Xbox One Users With Free In-Game Items Each Month

When the new, remastered version of State of Decay launches on the Xbox One later this month, gamers will see more new additions coming to Undead Labs’ zombie survival title than just improved animations and visuals. While giving players an early look at many of the new achievements coming to State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition, the official Xbox news blog also teased new monthly challenges that will appear in the upcoming Xbox One title.

Each month, State of Decay users on the Xbox One will be presented with specific goals to complete. The challenges will give players various objectives to complete before the month ends. Gamers will be able to finish both individual challenges as well as community-wide goals that take into account the actions of the entire State of Decay user base.

Successfully completing these tasks will give participants access to special in-game gear. Fans were given a hint that the first community challenge for State of Decay’s Xbox One edition will involve vehicles. Players will likely be expected to create as much zombie roadkill as possible

“State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will be offering up monthly timed challenges, unlockable either by individuals or the community at large. These aren’t just for bragging rights; successfully completing a challenge will unlock a secret item in the game. *Then* you can brag. Here’s a hint for the first one: Cars can be very effective weapons. Use them.”

Giving fans a fully detailed look at every Xbox Achievement that can be unlocked in State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition, Undead Labs recently unveiled the title’s complete achievement list. Since the upcoming remastered version of the game will include State of Decay alongside both of its DLC packs, the Xbox One edition of the game will feature a total of 1,500 achievement points to earn.

In addition to the returning achievements that players could earn inside the last-gen version of State of Decay, the Year-One Survival Edition also includes several new achievements that are exclusive to the Xbox One.

If an upgraded 1080p resolution, new character animations, additional achievements, and monthly challenges were enough to entice State of Decay fans to pick up the games Xbox One remake, Undead Labs is also offering exclusive in-game items to returning players. As reported by the Inquisitr, those who already own the game will receive access to an exclusive playable survivor within State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.
