Tennessee Nightclub Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 19 Injured


A shooting at the Karma Lounge nighclub in West Tennessee left 19 people injured and one person dead on Sunday after gunmen opened fire on the ground following a dispute.

According to Jackson Police Lt. Tyreece Miller a call was placed to police around 2 a.m. and when police arrived on the scene one person was already dead, 17 people had received gunshot wounds and two people had been injured because of trampling injury.

According to the officer a dispute erupted between several people and at least men pulled out handguns following that dispute and began firing into the crowd.

Police are now asking that anyone with video or photo evidence from inside the club share it with officers as soon as possible.

The man killed in the shooting was 19-year-old Todd Lecarlos (pictured above) of Memphis, Tennessee.

In critical condition is Travis Steed, a 30-year-old man who was airlifted to Memphis. Two other shooting victims were listed in stable condition at a Jackson hospital.

All other shooting victims were released for their wounds and released shortly afterwards.

The two people trampled were both women and they were treated and quickly released from local area hospitals.

Police are asking that anyone with information call their local law enforcement office immediately.
