Romance Blooms For Co-Stars Of Fox’s ‘The Last Man On Earth’
Apparently, reuniting in The Last Man On Earth has rekindled and strengthened old feelings for January Jones and Will Forte, who have been acquainted long before they both landed roles in the new Fox sitcom about the life of a post-apocalyptic man. Paralleling portions of The Last Man On Earth, Jones and Forte are now involved, according to CBS News.
Prior to having been cast together on The Last Man On Earth, Ms. Jones and Will worked together on Saturday Night Live, until Mr. Forte left the show in 2012. It seems that a good sense of humor is key to winning the heart of January Jones.
“I have a really fun time on the show. We spend every day laughing. The biggest challenge has been to keep us from laughing during takes.”
January told Us Weekly that her Last Man On Earth co-star is a great guy and that the two had been discreetly together for two months. Although Ms. Jones has been unattached since early 2013, when she split from director Noah Miller, she has been involved with Jason Sudeikis, Ashton Kutcher, and Josh Groban in the past.
Will Forte, on the other hand, has been seemingly wary of the dating scene in Hollywood, having never been seen out on the town with a love interest, prior to his romance with Ms. Jones.
“I’m kind of under the radar. Not a lot of people notice me. Which is surprising, because I’m so sexy. They’re probably intimidated by my sexiness and crushability.”
January has said that she has always been a big fan of Will’s work and has always enjoyed working with him, proving the attraction between them is just a part of their connection. Even so, the couple reports that they are taking things slow, just enjoying each other’s company with no real plan beyond enjoying one another’s company.
“It’s very new,” a source told Us Weekly. “They’re seeing where things go.”
Meanwhile, Forte will continue to entertain with The Last Man On Earth. In addition to creating the Fox comedy, Will Forte also created The Last Man On Earth, which uses comedy to ponder the reality of life as a sole survivor of a global apocalypse. Forte’s Last Man On Earth character, Phil Miller, takes on the burden of becoming humanity’s last hope and soon learns that he’s not quite the last man on earth, after all. January Jones and Kristen Schaal play competing love interests to Forte’s Phil Miller, adding drama to balance out the comedy.
The Last Man On Earth airs on Fox on Sundays with the next episode set to air on April 19.
