Cody Walker Is Following In His Brother Paul’s Footsteps As An Actor

It looks like Cody Walker was bitten by the acting bug when he stepped in for older brother Paul Walker in Furious 7.

When the 26-year-old stepped up to be the brand manager of late brother Paul’s Reach Out WorldWide, people couldn’t get over just how much the younger Walker brother resembled Paul. Now it seems like he might hold the torch for his brother in Hollywood as well.

According to the New York Daily News, Cody is interested in pursuing an acting career in Hollywood after he stepped in to finish scenes for Furious 7. He’s currently working with Paul’s old manager, Matt Luber, who actually spoke to the outlet about Cody’s future. From Luber’s words, it looks like the future is going to be bright.

“[His acting career] is in its beginning stages. He’s open to all types of roles.”

Prior to making the move to California to continue Paul’s legacy with ROWW, the youngest of five was working as a paramedic in Oregon. Cody wasn’t alone in filling in for Paul, as his brother Caleb also stepped in during the shooting of the Furious 7 film.

Right now, no one knows if there’s a Furious 8 set to film, but if Universal plans to go forward with the franchise, they may have a role for Cody.

At the time, Luber said, “I’m not sure if they are going to make an eighth movie, but if they did, I’m sure he would entertain a conversation [about a role].”

Although Cody must have enjoyed acting in those awesome action scenes, it was a bittersweet experience for the budding actor.

The Walker brother told E! News of the experience shooting the film.

“It was an absolute roller coaster throughout the entire process—lots of tears, lots of laughs. It’s an experience that I was very hesitant to commit to, but I’m really glad I did. I met a ton of really amazing people and made several life-long friendships.”

As for Furious 7, it looks like fans who got to see it early are really enjoying it.
