Kevin James — aka Paul Blart, Mall Cop — Welcomes Fourth Child
Kevin James–aka the “King of Queens”–welcomed a new princess to his growing brood. His representative confirmed to E! Online that he and actress wife Steffiana de la Cruz, 40, welcomed their fourth bundle of joy, a girl named Sistine Sabella. The baby was no feather weight, weighing in at nine pounds, eight ounces at birth. True to his comic roots, Kevin joked about her size in US Weekly.
“[She’s a] big girl! That’s how I know she’s mine. She’s incredible. A really good baby and so sweet. I’m a lucky daddy.”
The couple has three other children, so Sistine is almost part of a small “Brady Bunch,” being welcomed by brother Kannon Valentine and two sisters, Shea Joelle and Sienna-Marie.
Kevin, 49, stated that he wants to make PG-type movies that his children can see someday with him, such as his signature Paul Blart, Mall Cop or its sequel, as noted in E! Online. Kevin’s “everyman,” easygoing charm was apparent as he discussed his kids and life.
“I want to do movies that I’m proud of where my kids, at some point, can see and I can feel comfortable sitting there watching it with them. And just that move people. That make people feel a little bit better about themselves when they leave the theater.”
James noted how he’s increasingly relaxed with each child, kidding that he was very cautious returning home with his first tot, quoted in E! Online as saying the following.
“You kinda loosen up with the second child a little bit, which is nice. The first child, I remember they just give it to you at the hospital, you’re supposed to put her in the car seat and drive home. I was 10 and two on the wheel in the right lane 30 miles an hour on the highway with the flashers going….Second kid, I had the top down. I was steering with my knees.”
At this rate, Kevin may need his own Segway to follow his brood around. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, due to be released April 17, will see the physical, often over-the top comedy for which the beloved Kevin James is known. According to an article in the Inquisitr, he will still have overshot slides on the floor and outings on his Segway–another recipe for a successful comedy movie, presumably.
He has a big year ahead and will hopefully find time to see one of his three upcoming movies — Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Pixels, and Hotel Transylvania 2— with his children.
