A Florida woman called 911 three times to report that a Fort Pierce McDonald’s had run out of McNuggets. Investigators have now released the audio recordings of all three calls.

The woman, a 27-year-old named Latreasa Goodman, told police the McDonald’s didn’t have any chicken nuggets and wouldn’t give her her money back.
“The manager just took my money and won’t give me my money back, trying to make me get something off the menu that I don’t want,” she said on the phone. “”I ordered chicken nuggets. They don’t have chicken nuggets, and so I told her, ‘Just give me my money back,’ and she tells me I have to pick something else off the menu.”
When police suggested to Goodman that her issue might not be an emergency, she responded:
“This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn’t have McNuggets, I wouldn’t have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don’t want one. This is an emergency.”
The McDonald’s, by the way, issued an apology and said it would make sure Goodman got her money back. She may need it, too: Police arrested Goodman on charges of misusing of the 911 system — and odds are, that kind of criume results in a fine slightly higher than $1.99.

Really a grey area.. Is robbery a non-emergency? How do you distinguish? If the manager would have called 911, the police would have arrested the woman on a more severe charge. In reality, the woman acted responsible in the face of stupidity. Had McDonald's returned her money they would avoid negative publicity. But now, they not only face unwanted negative publicity.

How f'n retarded can you be? 911 is for emergency use. Big deal this chick can't get her McNuggets. What if one of her 657454.8 kids with no baby daddy was at home drowning and couldn't get through because her dumb ass was tying up the line?! I wish they had laws against being a total f'n idiot.

To the author of the post, JR Raphael – why did you post this with derogatory text added to the call? It's juvenile and discriminatory. I doubt that you are African-American and I wonder if you would have used such a clip if it belittled someone that looked like you (i.e. your skin color). Would you?
Regarding the previous comment from 'me thats it' – if there were a law “against being a total f'n idiot” then you would be the first one arrested.

Ms Goodman's experience was understandably frustating, but definitely NOT an emergency, not a life-threatening situation. However, the patience of all three 911 dispatchers was impressive.

I feel bad her – this an example of the press messing with a story to get ratings. She should sue someone for defamation.
The call isn't her complaing about not having chicken niggets, its about her reporting a petty theft. When she learned they didnt have what she paid for, she asked for her money back and they pretty much said screw you. What elsed could she do, except either make a big scene that would have caused McDs to call 911 themselves or for her to call 911. I son't know about you, but I dont carry the number of the local police precint in my wallet. Unless you do, or theres a cop in the store, that's your only option.
Really this could be any of us. It could be a movie/airline ticket, or a article of clothes that we paid for that wasnt the right size or had a ink stain. What would you do if they said, you're not getting your money back, buy something else, even if you dont want it…. Shame on McDs and the media for misrepsenting the story,

That is disgusting, are the police working for the people (the woman who had her money stollen) or are the police working for businesses (McDonalds)? This whole damn world is coming apart at the seams. As miniscule as this seems it speaks tomes of the state our world is in. People being arrested and fined for not taking it in the rear from corporations.
