‘Game Change’ Trailer: Sarah Palin’s Not Your Puppet [Video]

game chance

HBO released its first official trailer for its new film “Game Change” about the 2008 presidential election. Julianne Moore takes on the role of Sarah Palin and the movie doesn’t hold back any punches.

The short trailer features Sarah Palin’s infamous “I can see Russia from my house” flub and paints McCain’s former running mate as more an actress than a politician.

Here’s the synopsis from HBO:

“This new HBO film follows John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, to their ultimate defeat in the general election.”

Palin brings excitement to the campaign but the political pressures also get to her in the movie. Moore said:

“We have her displaying moments of sheer brilliance –- I mean, she was unbelievably charismatic. Suddenly here was this working class mother who popped out and seemed to be able to command the world, but of course upon further inspection, she was clearly not prepared. She didn’t necessarily have the experience necessary to lead our country, and that’s what we were attempting to characterize.”

“Game Change” will premiere on HBO on March 10 at 9pm EST.

Here’s the trailer for the new movie.

Do you think HBO’s portrayal of Sarah Palin is fair? Accurate? Will you be watching “Game Change” when it airs next month?

  1. Nope will not watch this stupid movie. I will not watch you trash this smart, beautiful, American woman…

  2. I always find it very amusing when to hear 'knowing' comments that Governor Palin was 'not ready' or did not have the experience' to lead the country. Try as I might I in 2008 I could not unearth any evidence whatsoever that Barrack Obama has any worthwhile or relevant experience either. I could find no record or any substantive accomplishments of executive experience. I fould the same to be the case in respect of Hillary Clinton. Joe Biden came across as a buffon and it it frightening to think of him as within a heartbeat of the Presidency.

This film made by Obama supporter is based on the book Gamechange and the characterization of Sarah Palin is based either on unnamed sources or on the inept Stephen Schimdt, who along with the equally incompetent nicole Wallace needed a scapegoat to cover their own ineptitude. Also this is one of the few Holywood biopics where the female laed is considerably less beautiful that the real life subject.

  3. I don’t know if HBO can Sell Sarah better than she sells herself. Just when we thought she her starlight was fading, this opportunistic movie may push Palin back into the spotlight depending on how she is portrayed. How does America’s Top MILF do it? She’s cut-throat when it comes to her money and you can see just how scandalous she’ll get for the cash with The Ecstasy of Sarah Palin at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/06/ecstasy-of-sarah-palin_15.html.

She's not ever close to Palin. The makeup looks caked on like a pastry. The whole thing smells of a hit piece and hack job.

So, when's the next blogspot on the Obamas and their multi-million dollar fortunes? Based upon the blogspot on Palin, it should be illegal for any politician to make money so lets set the example with the President with no post-President speeches for money, no more book deals (he should donate his previous books revenues to the poor) and no CEO positions.
