Million To Online Lover: Woman Sends Over $1 Million To Online ‘African’ Lover She’s Never Met In Person, Insists It’s Not A Scam

Sarah, a twice-divorced woman who still believes in love, has finally found the man of her dreams — maybe. She’s in love with a man named Chris. They’ve been involved together for the past 18 months, and things are reportedly going extremely well. She’s even taken things a step further by taking care of Chris’ financial issues. She’s wired him over $1 million and paid a staggering $550k to bail him out of jail. However, there’s just one problem — Sarah has never actually met Chris in person!

According to Mirror, Sarah and her “African” lover, who identifies as “Chris Olsen,” reportedly connected through an online dating site. Their preliminary discussions almost immediately evolved into a full-blown relationship. Now, they’ve taken the relationship offline, talking on the phone for hours each day. Chris, who’s allegedly on business in Africa, claims he’s from Milan but relocated to the United States at the age of 18.

However, that’s not all Chris has told Sarah about his life. Apparently, Chris has run into a number of financial and legal issues over the past few months. From his expired visa to stolen credit cards, attorney fees, and even nanny issues, he’s had problems in just about every area of his life.

Then, to make matters worse, Chris is also facing money laundering charges, which only makes his actions more incriminating. His imprisonment is the reason Sarah sold her apartment. She needed the proceeds from the apartment to bail her lover out of jail. She reportedly paid a staggering $550K, reports Daily Mail. So, of course, the financial aspect of the relationship has raised concerns.

Sarah even admitted that when they first began talking on the phone he sounded Italian, but his accent has changed since their first conversation. The distinct change made her suspicious.

“He sounded Italian, now his accent’s kind of changed I don’t know if he’s adapted to where he’s at… in Benin.”

But, it’s quite difficult to confirm any of his claims since she’s never met him in person. However, she believes in their love and refuses to cut Chris off. During a recent interview with Dr. Phil, Sarah defended her actions, her lover, and their seemingly odd relationship. She shared intimate details about their love affair and how charming Chris is, which only raises concerns about whether or not she’s being scammed.

Here’s an excerpt from her discussion with Dr. Phil.

“An attractive person came on there and said ‘you look like you wouldn’t hurt a fly.’ I thought ‘wow, this guy is really handsome, I can’t believe he’s talking to me.’ Chris has a way with words. He’ll say ‘how is my queen doing today?’ He’s very poetic when he talks to me. He writes ‘Mrs Olsen, I love you and I cant wait to be with you.'”

Even after all she’s done for him, he still insists it’s not possible for them to be together right now. Of course, there are a number of excuses and “extenuating circumstances” that prevent him from being with her. However, she still believes in their love. Surprisingly, she has no regrets and she insists he’s definitely not scamming her. As a matter of fact, she’s “95 percent certain.”

“I have questioned several times whether or not this is a scam. But I’m 95 percent certain that Chris is telling me the truth. I still believe in love.”
