Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370: Theory Claims Vladimir Putin Ordered Flight Hijacked, Flown To Kazakhstan

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 may have been hijacked by Russian special forces working on the orders of Vladimir Putin and flown to a landing space in Kazakhstan, one aviation expert is now suggesting.

It is approaching one year since the flight disappeared from radar with 239 passengers and crew on board. Search efforts that have now spread across hundreds of thousands of square miles in the Indian Ocean have failed to turn up even a single sign of the plane’s resting place, leading to many conspiracy theories about its final destination.

Jeff Wise, a private pilot and science writer who was frequently featured on CNN during initial coverage of the plane’s disappearance, believes that the conventional thinking about the plane crashing is wrong. Wise said that data showing the plane flying over the Indian Ocean was “spooked” to disguise its true flight path to the north.

Wise suggests that the missing plane was hijacked by Russian special forces, noting there could be many reasons why Vladimir Putin would want to hijack Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

“Maybe he wanted to demonstrate to the United States, which had imposed the first punitive sanctions on Russia the day before, that he could hurt the West and its allies anywhere in the world,” he wrote in New York Magazine.

“Maybe what he was really after were the secrets of one of the plane’s passengers. Maybe there was something strategically crucial in the hold.

“Or maybe he wanted the plane to show up unexpectedly somewhere someday, packed with explosives. There’s no way to know.”

Wise even identified a now abandoned airfield once used by the Soviet Union that he believes could have been the landing place for the missing plane. He scoured satellite data to find what appeared to be a large rectangular pit where the plane could have been hidden from view.

Wise found that a month after the plane disappeared, the pit appeared to be filled in and smoothed over, which he believes boosts the theory that the plane was stashed there. There was no word on what would have happened to the passengers, however.

The idea that Vladimir Putin ordered Russian special forces to hijack Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 is not the only conspiracy theory claiming that the plane didn’t crash into the ocean. Others have suggested that it may have been diverted by terrorists or even by the pilot himself. Some, including the former head of Proteus Airlines, Mark Dugain, think that MH370 was shot down by the U.S. Air Force.
