Alan Wake PC getting a boxed version

Most PC gamers moved away from boxed retail copies of PC games a long time ago, thanks in no small part to the convenience of digital distribution services such as Steam, but Alan Wake PC will be getting a boxed version regardless.

The boxed version of Alan Wake for the PC will be brought to you by Nordic Games. There’s no word on just where you’ll be able to pick up a boxed copy of Alan Wake PC, but it’s a safe bet it’ll show up at your local game shop of choice.

There’s also no word on when it will be released. Remedy recently said that Alan Wake will release on Steam in February, but the developer hasn’t pinned a specific release date on the game yet, nor has Nordic Games.

However, the publisher did say that we can expect news on a release date for Alan Wake in the next few days, so sit tight for more news on that.

In case this is the first you’ve heard of a PC version of Alan Wake, the port will include all DLC that saw a release over on Xbox Live, including “The Signal” and “The Writer”. This applies to both the boxed copy and the digital download.
