‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Spencer Cassadine Die As A Result Of The Fire?
During Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital, viewers saw some sweet moments for Spencer Cassadine during his birthday party. Unfortunately, joy turned to potential tragedy when a fire broke out that put both Spencer and Emma at risk. Will everybody be okay?
As the show’s Facebook page shares, at the end of Tuesday’s show, Patrick used a fire extinguisher to clear the way for Nikolas and an unconscious Spencer to get out of the fire. As sirens are heard in the background, Patrick leans over Spencer to check on him as Nikolas frantically asks if his son is okay. Patrick gives Nikolas a worried and anxious look and looks back down at Spencer.
Naturally, that’s where fans were left hanging as Tuesday’s show concluded. What General Hospital spoilers are available for the rest of the week? According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Spencer Cassadine will survive. However, he may have a bit of a recovery to work through. While various GH teasers mention that there is an unthinkable tragedy ahead for Spencer and Nikolas, many fans feel confident that Spencer will ultimately pull through. That doesn’t mean, though, that the incident won’t leave a toll on both Nik and his son.
Long-time General Hospital fans know that the show has already killed off a couple of young characters, and it would seem to be perhaps too much to kill off another child. Patrick and Sabrina’s baby boy, Gabriel, died after being born prematurely as a result of a car accident just a matter of months ago, for example.
Of course there’s also Jake Spencer, Elizabeth and Jason’s son, who died in 2011 after being hit by a car driven by Luke. GH fans also remember that Sonny and Sam had a stillborn daughter some time back, as well, and over the years, there have been several other young characters killed off, as well.
It’s easy to see how Spencer’s death could set up some big storylines for Nikolas, especially given the fact that he knows Jake’s real identity as Jason Morgan, and he also has lingering feelings for Elizabeth. General Hospital spoilers from She Knows Soaps indicate that Liz will be right by Nik’s side as he works through what’s happened to Spencer, but will it be supporting Nikolas through his son’s recovery, or through his death?
Nicolas Bechtel is the young actor who plays Spencer Cassadine, and he’s pretty active on Twitter. Though, of course, Bechtel can’t reveal his character’s fate quite yet, his tweets would certainly make it appear that he’s kept busy on the set with new episodes, meaning Spencer has plenty of life left in him.
At this point, most GH spoiler fans suspect that Spencer will fully recover, but that the experience may leave Nik feeling fairly rattled. Other General Hospital spoilers and rumors for the week indicate that Silas has a big secret, believed to be Ava’s survival. Most fans figured that it was just a matter of time before Ava reappeared and it seems likely that’s coming into play this week.
