Rihanna celebrates 21st, gets gifts, call from Brown

Rihanna celebrated her 21st birthday Friday with a close circle on non-celebrity friends, but even on this important day she wasn’t free on Chris Brown.

According to reports, Brown sent Rihanna a diamond bracelet, necklace and an iPod Touch as gifts in an attempt to get back into her good books. Brown even jumped on the phone.

“Chris called Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday,” a source told the New York Daily News. “He’s absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”

If that’s not bad enough, it looks like Rihanna might want Brown back despite the beating he gave her.

“Rihanna so wanted Chris with her on her big day, but obviously realizes why they can’t be together right now,” the source said “But it’s becoming more and more clear that she can’t be without him.”
