Eric Holder Attacks FOX News, Mocks Them For Pressing ‘Radical Islam’ [Video]

Over the last six months, the world has been exposed to what many have called “Islamic terrorism” executed by those who follow “radical Islam.” The Inquisitr reported the latest on such in which MI5 warns that Islamic terrorists are planning to attack the west. It is unknown how the west are taking such news, but evidently the United Kingdom is taking it seriously. Through their heightened awareness, they were able to foil an Islamic terrorist attack to kill Queen Elizabeth.

Despite the news pointing to such terms like “Islamic terrorism” and “radical Islam” as valid, Barack Obama and his administration are not accepting it. Instead, they are avoiding such terms, refusing to acknowledge them. With that in mind, Eric Holder is backing the Obama Administration by blaming FOX News for pushing the terms into the public and media.

According to The Daily Caller, the outgoing attorney general Eric Holder mocked FOX News for using terms such as “radical Islam” and “Islamic terrorism” at the National Press Club on Tuesday. As most people know, FOX News has been on the front lines, questioning the Obama Administration’s refusal to use said terms. Pertaining to FOX News, this is what Holder had to say.

“Whenever you’re getting criticized by both sides, it probably means you’re probably getting right. We spend more time, more time talking about what you call it, as opposed to what do you do about it, you know? I mean really. If Fox didn’t talk about this, they would have nothing else to talk about, it seems to me.”

After mocking FOX News, Eric Holder continued on with his speech stating there is not much to gain using “radical Islam,” “Islamic extremism,” and other terms in that vein.

“Radical Islam, Islamic extremism; I’m not sure an awful lot is gained by saying that. It doesn’t have any impact on our military posture; it doesn’t have any impact on what we call it, on the policies that we put in place. What we have to do is defined not by the terms that we use, but by the facts on the ground. So I don’t worry an awful lot about what the appropriate terminology ought to be.”

What’s peculiar is the fact that FOX News isn’t the only media outlet questioning the Obama Administration’s refusal to refer to the string of recent activity by the Islamic State – which includes beheadings, burnings, and attacks – as stemming from Islamic terrorism. According to Newsmax, Mara Liasson of National Public Radio questioned Josh Earnest, White House press secretary, about the omission of the Islam label. Washington Times reports that Dana Perino of The Five confirms that Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the President of Egypt, insists that “Islamic” be used in such terms.

So why is the Obama Administration doing all they can to ignore such terms? They don’t want to alienate other members of the Muslim faith by referring to terror groups like the Islamic State and al-Qaeda as Islamic.
