The crazies of Westboro Baptist Church are at it again, this time announcing that the will picket the upcoming funeral of legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterono who died on Sunday at the age of 85-years-old.
Speaking for her family (which pretty much makes up the congregation) Margie Phelps, daughter of Pastor Fred Phelps tweeted:
“Penn State Penn Rape” rings in Joe Paterno’s earns in hell” He partook of sin for fame & fortune. Worth NOTHING to him now. #PicketFuneral.”
Perhaps if any member of the church knew how to read they would realize that while Joe Paterno was ultimately fired because the administration felt a change needed to be made they would have realized that following the “shower incidence” at Penn State it was Joe Paterno who handed the Jerry Sandusky case immediately over to school investigators. In fact a grand jury cleared the head coach of all wrongdoing in the case.
Earlier reports had stated that Joe Paterno attempted to cover up the incident but those accusations have repeatedly been shown to be rubbish.
Then again the wackadoo’s at Westboro Baptist Church are more about publicity then about god and relgion, they announced in October that they would picket the funeral of Apple founder Steve Jobs and they also picketed the Michael Jackson funeral and various other events including the funeral of a fallen American soldier.
Perhaps what the church is best known for is there “God Hates Fags” signs and their creepy connection to their own family members.
Here’s exactly how crazy the Westboro Baptist Church can be when protesting something as simple as the Grammy Awards:

God is a forgiving God and Jesus died for our sins. Westboro Baptist church has no right to judge ANYONE! Westboro Baptist are not Christian and only use the word "church" so they don't have to pay taxes. Westboro Baptist members who picket funerals are terrorist! You better never come to my area and do not dare call it freedom of speech either! What you do is terrorism!

i agree with you john when can we beat these people up i can't believe they would be this stupid those seven children in perry county did nothing to them and their family did not deserve their stupidity and all the crap they caused it was so sad to see those sever tiny caskets lined up in a row like that it's totally in excusable the way they reacted and now they are going after joe pa that's ridiculous he really did nothing to them

Eric Joseph Im talking about the fact that these people will protest at things that they do not belong at. that family lost all but one of their children in that fire, plus the entire home. Those people are disgusting, they claim to be righteous and religious, yet say that God is the reason bad shit happens to us….. I am not comparing I am merely suggesting that these people need to be stoped they are sick

I thank my God I am nothing like them! I will not sit in judgement of them because that is not for me to do. I just wish they would stop calling themselves "Christ"ians because Christ is love for all he does not hate he does not boast and Christ would never turn his back to anyone, even them.
