Chris Evans And Henry Cavill: Captain America & Superman Present At BAFTAs

Chris Evans and Henry Cavill had matching beards and tuxes when they took the stage at the BAFTAs on Sunday night — and the internet went wild.

Captain America and Superman wore matching beards and elegant tuxedos to present the Best Actress award at the EE British Academy Film Award (BAFTA), honoring the best of the best in film. Aside from the excitement of finding out who would go home with the coveted prize — Julianne Moore took the award — the hunky pair were one of the ceremony’s top attractions.

Undoubtedly, two of the best looking, rising British stars Chris Evans and Henry Cavill don’t need any introductions in the world of blockbuster superheroes. As stars of two of the biggest superhero sequels of them all, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice respectively, Evans and Cavill are in a league of their own.

So much so that the internet exploded with photos and comments about the handsome pair.

After receiving her BAFTA for Best Actress from Chris and Henry, Julianne Moore was the object of envious thoughts from fans, as she posed standing between the two actors.

According to the movie site IMDB, Chris Evans’ Captain America sequel continues to follow Steve Rogers as he “struggles to embrace his role in the modern world, he teams up with another super soldier, the black widow, to battle a new threat from old history: an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.”

Similarly, Henry Cavill dons the blue suit and red cape to continue his mission as the Man of Steel in the Zack Snyder’s sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will see the popular superhero face-off with Batman (Ben Affleck) for the first time in movie’s history.

Clearly Chris Evans and Henry Cavill have a large, loyal following, and they certainly had a lot to say about their favorite stars on social media. So much so that the hashtag “Chris Evans and Henry Cavill” was trending in the U.K. during the broadcast.
